Self-Catering Accommodation
Relax in our spacious self-catering apartment located above our family home in the heart of the beautiful coastal village of Longniddry in East Lothian.
The apartment was designed for people with mobility issues and is level throughout. It is accessed via your private staircase complete with a stair lift. Once at the top, it opens up onto a spacious mezzanine hall from which the bijou but well equipped kitchen is accessed.
The apartment consists of a large bedroom with an electrically operated double bed, with a hand rail attached to one side. There is a television in the bedroom and ample space to manoeuvre a wheelchair.
The large modern en-suite wet-room was designed for a wheelchair user and has everything you need.
The lounge/dining room spans the whole width of the house and offers garden views from the balcony. It has a television/DVD player with a range of DVD’s for you to choose from.
A single sofa-bed can accommodate one extra guest if needed.
Accessible Design
Our beautifully designed and accessible apartment was designed for wheelchair users and due to the apartment being level throughout it is accessible to those with mobility issues.
With off-street parking you can leave your car right at the front door. Please note that there is a small 50mm lip both to enter the property and onto the balcony which overlooks the main house’s mature garden. The balcony is equipped with table and chairs and there are fresh herbs growing in pots for you to use.
The property is equipped with extra wide doorways with sliding doors and a spacious wet-room.
There are no steps within the apartment itself or into the property.
The carpets are low-pile to make it as easy as possible to manoeuvre a wheelchair.
The electric double bed raises both at the head and the feet.
The en-suite wet room is equipped with a shower, a built-in seat, grab rails and an electric wash and dry toilet.
Please note that the kitchen was designed for an able-bodied person and is a bit tight for a wheelchair.
Endless Attractions
The beautiful Golf Coast includes the famous Renaissance Golf Club in Gullane. This is host to the Scottish Open and is only 4 miles away. The beautiful seaside town of North Berwick is 10 miles away and 15 miles in the opposite direction we have the historic city of Edinburgh, home to the famous Edinburgh Fringe, Festival and Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in the month of August.
If you choose to stay closer to home you can enjoy the stunning village of Longniddry. Braemore Apartment is a 5 minute walk to the beach and only a couple of minutes to the links golf course which is open to non-members. There are tennis courts available to book across the road from the apartment. Longniddry Inn is a 5 minute walk and serves good pub food.
The village has a Co-Op, hairdresser, chemist, take-away, and two newsagents at either end of the village. There is a train station with direct links to Edinburgh and North Berwick and a reliable bus service.

What is Included
Kitchen – Oven/ Microwave/ Induction 2 ring hob /fridge /utensils/ crockery/ pots pans and a selection of oven dishes. Oven gloves/ Hand drying towels and dish drying towels.
Lounge – Free WIFI / TV and DVD player/ Cassette/radio player games and books.
Bedroom – All bed linen/TV/ample clothes storage/ clothes hangers/hairdryer, safe.
Ensuite wet room – All Towels/ shower gel.
If there is anything you need whilst staying with us please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.
The Boring Bits
Minimum Stay
Our policy is a minimum stay of two nights.
However, we understand that sometimes this isn't possible so please speak to us. If we can help we'll charge you an extra £35 to cover cleaning and laundry costs.
Deposit
We charge a fully-refundable deposit of £200, payable when you pay the balance of your booking, and refundable when you leave.
Breakages
We know accidents happen. If you happen to break something, please let us know as soon as possible so we can replace it.
If you happen to spill something, please let us know so we can clean it up and avoid any long-term damage.
Please note that minor mishaps will not affect your deposit.
Noise
While we want you to have the time of your life, unfortunately we still have day-jobs. Please keep noise to a reasonable level after 10PM.
Recycling
Like all councils, East Lothian Council supply bins for recycling almost everything. Please help us protect the environment and keep council taxes down.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate pets.
